MACROXAM® (PIROXICAM) PATCH

MACROXAM® PATCH is the world’s first Non Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID), was developed by Life Science Research Center of SK Pharma. The one and only Piroxicam in a new drug delivery system – Transdermal Direct Drug Delivery System (TDS). Unique in a sense that MACROXAM® PATCH by-passes the adverse side effects of higher incidence of gastrointestinal irritation and peptic ulcer brought about by Piroxicam after oral administration. Classified as over-the-counter drug (OTC).

COMPOSITION:
Each transdermal patch contains 48mG of Piroxicam.

INDICATIONS:
Pain due to Arthritis (Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Gout, Septic Arthritis), Tenosynovitis, Myalgia and post-fracture/trauma.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to Piroxicam and other related substances.

ADVERSE REACTIONS:
Topical pruritis, redness, rashes, skin inflammation or other skin irritations may occur in certain individuals. If one of these symptoms occurs, please discontinue its use.

PRECAUTIONS:
As with all medication, please consult your doctor before use. When using MACROXAM® (Piroxicam) Transdermal Patch after skin infections, appropriate anti-bacterial or anti fungal agent should be administered first. Do not apply to the eyes, mucous membrane, or on broken skin. The safety in children and in pregnant women has not been established.
Skin irritation may occur in some cases of prolonged use by 48 hours.

INSTRUCTIONS for USE:
Wash and dry affected area. Apply MACROXAM® (Piroxicam) Transdermal Patch once every three days or as prescribed by the physician. Ensure that the edges of the patch are well plastered on the skin.

Advice for use: Place on the side of the joint for proper adhesion and absorption.
